Warum Fasten?
In our hectic daily lives, we often take in too much – not only food, but also stress, overstimulation, and strain. Therapeutic fasting helps relieve the body, sharpen the senses, and gain new energy. It supports the body’s self-healing powers and creates space for mindfulness and inner clarity.
What happens during fasting?
During therapeutic fasting, the body switches from external to internal nourishment. Stored reserves are used, toxins are broken down, and cellular cleansing processes are activated. This so-called autophagy can promote cell renewal and regulate metabolism. Many people who fast report feeling lighter, sleeping better, and experiencing increased vitality.

How does a fasting week work?
Buchinger therapeutic fasting is based on liquid nourishment such as vegetable broths, teas, freshly pressed juices, and plenty of water. Gentle movement, mindful relaxation, and supportive practices such as walks or meditation accompany the process. After several days of abstinence, the fast is gently broken with light meals to ease the body back into everyday life.
Fasting is a beneficial experience—for the body, mind, and soul.
